Discovered this tucked away in the sleeve of an old diary I used in 1998 (actual physical in those days, not virtual).
This was the London Evening Standard advert that got me hooked on Monacos – back then if you wanted to save an ad or photo you liked, you tore the page out and kept it somewhere 
The CS2110 is arguably still the best of the re-editions and I bought one several months later – I’ve since owned at least 4 or 5 so far and many more of the vintage variety.
So, I can pinpoint September 4th 1998 as the exact date when my Heuer addiction began 
And, the photo on the reverse isn’t that bad either 🙂
