After changing the oils a few week’s back, I found these nasty bits of shrapnel in the waste pan from the front diff. I bought a cheapo endoscope camera for my iphone and had a look in the fill hole – Ouch!
Lucky escape – turns out there were some pretty large chunks out of the spider wheels.
The 2-pin diff is a known weak-spot on the Puma Defenders so I took advice and upgraded to more substantial 4-pin one.
